Delete your Avygo account

You can delete your Avygo account and all related data at any time. Pick whichever path works for you.

Fastest way: directly in the Avygo app

If you still have the app installed, deleting from inside the app is the fastest path. Deletion is triggered immediately once you confirm.

  1. 1. Open your profile

    In the app, tap your profile picture in the bottom right corner.

  2. 2. Settings → Delete account

    Open Settings and scroll all the way down to “Delete account”.

  3. 3. Confirm

    Tick the three confirmation boxes and tap “Delete account permanently”. Done.

What gets deleted?

Deleting your account permanently removes the following data:

  • Account master data (email, login identifier, authentication tokens)
  • Profile data (name, profile picture, bio, nickname, birthday, optional profile fields)
  • Gallery contents (photos, videos, audio) and their metadata
  • Events you created, including all module content (polls, expenses, gift pools, to-dos, moodboards, games)
  • Your contributions in other people's events (votes, answers, reservations, comments)
  • Matrix identity for group and private chats, including your encrypted messages and media
  • Push tokens and notification preferences
  • Pseudonymous usage IDs in PostHog (product analytics)
  • Pseudonymous crash IDs in Sentry, where attributable

What we keep — and for how long

For legal or security reasons, we have to keep a small, clearly defined subset of your data for a limited time after account deletion:

  • Billing and purchase data (RevenueCat) 6 or 10 years

    statutory retention under German tax and commercial law (§ 147 AO, § 257 HGB)

  • Server and security logs 30 days (up to 90 days for security incidents)

    abuse detection and incident response

  • Crash and diagnostic data (Sentry) 90 days

    stability and root-cause analysis

  • Moderation and reporting records 3 years after closure

    evidence preservation and repeat-offense detection under the German DDG / EU Digital Services Act

  • Support correspondence up to 24 months

    auditability and any longer statutory obligations

  • Anti-circumvention hash for age verification 90 days

    protection of minors under § 24a JuSchG

How long does it take?

Once you confirm the request, we delete your account and the associated data within 30 days — usually much faster. Data in downstream processor systems (e.g. Supabase backups, Cloudflare R2, Etke / Matrix) is purged on the next rotation cycle, within a maximum of an additional 30 days.
